Essential Electric is owned by a husband and wife team. Jake has over 15 years of experience within the construction industry and Ali has over 5 years of experience with engineering, construction and project management.
Jake grew up doing concrete with his dad on the weekends, after high school he went into the electrical trade always with the idea he would own his own business. Jake worked for larger electrical companies within the Sacramento area. His electrical experience included temporary power, underground electrical, commercial new construction and light industrial electrical. Jake is a licensed Journeyman and C-10 Contractor, Since starting his own company he has focused more on the residential side, completing new builds, whole house rewires, back up generators, EV Charges, lighting remodels and more.
Ali graduated Sacramento State with a degree in Civil Engineering. She is a registered EIT, and has passed the National PE exam. She pursued her career as a Civil Engineer in Roseville from 2018-2025. Upon the arrival of their first son, Ali decided to step back and help Jake grow the family business. Her experience includes designing and managing multimillion dollar projects related to underground utilities, Parks, Water, and Sewer Infrastructure, and client relation skills.
